You’re invited to attend the Visalia Civic Center Groundbreaking Ceremony on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 9 a.m.
This special event celebrates the next phase of the Visalia Civic Center Complex project, and formally begins the construction on the Civic Center, Pavilion, Council Chambers and Public Safety and Finance building.
This groundbreaking will be held on the southeast corner of Burke Street and School Avenue, in downtown Visalia. Signage and an event tent will mark the location. Parking will be available on the street, with additional parking available in the City parking lot across from ImagineU and at the City of Visalia Administration building. Both parking lots will provide access to the event area via the walking trail and pedestrian crossing.
Join us as we celebrate this historic day for Visalia! For questions or more information, please contact Mike Porter, P.E., Civil Engineer, at mike.porter@visalia.gov or (559) 713-4412.
About the Project
Located in east downtown, the Visalia Civic Center Complex project is over 30 years in the making. The first phase included the Visalia Emergency Communications Center. This groundbreaking celebrates the second phase, the building of the Civic Center itself, which will house the new Council Chambers, public safety, finance, and feature an outdoor pavilion.
